Fall.

Is my favorite season. Actually, not really sure if that is true. I love Spring for flowers and rainstorms, Summer for tomatoes and dahlias, but Fall for crisp air and warm food and ski socks.

The 100 Layer Cake ladies, Peggy from Blue Pool Road and I put together a little table of the fall inspired.

We were lucky enough to use Gjelina- which isn't just a pretty face, it's one of the most delicious places to eat in the country. With the quiet force of Travis Lett at it's healm, you simply cannot go wrong. Every bite is a joy.

our wedding.

Well, I've had a few crappy days in a row, and nothing tugs at your boot straps more than looking at your wedding photo's. The super wonderfully talented gals at 100 layer cake posted a sweet piece on me and G this morning. They are so kind. And keep us all fueling with wedding inspiration. I don't know how we used to survive without them. Thanks gal/s.

Friends- meet Baxter. Baxter Boy actually, or bboy, or lover boy... it goes on. And no, he's not a puppy. And I don't know what breed he his. Just pure amazing. He's not even my dog and I'm obsessed..

Here are a few more of my favorites...

I can't stop!!
Sorry dear friends. This isn't the last of it, but I will try and keep it interesting..

Press!

Jose Villa is super amazing. And maybe one of the nicest people I've ever worked with. We got the opportunity to work together in Palm Springs at the Parker earlier this summer with the equally amazing ladies of Alison Events. Then, as if his beautiful photographs weren't enough, he got it published too. Dreamy.

our wedding.

Last month we got married. I can't believe it was last month. It seems like a year ago. Anyhow, it was amazing. Everything about the whole experience was fantastic. I highly recommend it. I'll post some photo's eventually.

But firstly, our amazing photographer, Lacie Hansen. She was a dream boat to work with and is so talented. At one point, it was just her and I in my room while I was getting ready. And I wouldn't have had it any other way. She is cool as a cucumber.

Check out her blog where there are a few photo's from our wedding as well.

veterans day.

When I was a kid, veterans day meant little more than time away from school. Now there is a very palpable somberness to the day. As it should be.

The Brits sure do love their flowers. Red poppies symbolize remembrance.

exactly why I need to blog

I have no idea where I found this. I spend a good hour every day (let's be honest- two) milling around for inspiring color palettes and images. I pull said images and tuck them away deep in my computer drawers, or I assure myself I'll be able to find it again no problem, and scoot on to the next google, with nary a bookmark in sight.

This here is one of the former. At least I've got it, although, really couldn't tell you from where. I can't wait for someone out there to brave enough to do this colorway... and please let me eventually turn into that amazing lady. whoever she may be.... apologies for not giving due credit.

Those days are behind me! You know, with blogging and all.

So blogging, huh?

hiya. I've been meaning to put together a blog for quite some time. Hopefully this will be a spot to post some of my recent work and maybe a good recipe or two.

Do other bloggers feel like their guts are out there? Like it's one of those mirrors that people can see in, but you can't see out? Maybe it's just the first couple posts that feel like that.

Anyhow, I digress. Thank you, dear anonymous friend for stopping by to visit. I hope you find something useful, or at least mildly entertaining, to help you pass the time.
