Best Rehearsal Dinner Ever.

I think I overuse the expression 'the best' pretty regularly. But in this case, it is completely true.

This was up in New Buffalo MI earlier this year and was pretty much a magical weekend.

Mostly due to the fantastic family who kindly hired us and Kelsey Sheofsky of Alison Events.

Oh, well hello Wednesday.

Wow.

You would think I would have something really amazing to report if it took me till Wednesday to write my usual Mondayness.

Nope!! Unless you consider my personal contest of eating as many tortilla/avocado/sea salt snacks as possible as breaking news. It's 2pm and I'm on number 4. whoops.

super sweet wedding.

The father of the bride sent me this photo of a his daughter's bouquet.

Garden roses, peonies, wild blueberry vine, scented geranium and sweet peas.

That's the only thing I did in the entire photo. The family collected and put together all the other elements. How amazing are those guys?

And I think Mr. Kaye has a second career as a photographer happening very soon.

Pretty sweet wedding from Saturday.

Hellooo there.

We had a super sweet backyard- (beauuutiful three tier garden in historic Griffith Park Estates) wedding this weekend. With the nicest, most calm bride in the world.

Sadly, I forgot my camera in the hustle, but here is an iphone quickie of her bouquet.

I will post more when I get the photog's results.

I believe they hit the peak of lilac season. It was amazing and smelled sooo good. And- totally wasn't really trying necessarily to do so, but her entire wedding was California grown. Pretty righteous, yeah?

Kristina- are you out there? This wedding was totally inspired by our 1st little shoot/date last year. Crazy, huh? That was a year ago! Lilac season! and now you have a baby!

Good morning!

Here are some more shots from our shoot at the Viceroy.

I love working in Palm Springs, but the heat is definitely something to keep in mind if you are having your wedding outdoors.

To bring in a mass of color without having to worry about something failing in the sun, we made these fabric flowers. To be honest, the were kind of a pain in ass to make. I have sort of a love/hate for all projects Martha (which is where I got the template). Out of her 6 templates online, only one seemed to do the trick, so we just made different sizes and colors.

I also tried to keep in mind the heat when designing the actual flowers. Most people think of daisies and mums as to common, but when put together with a couple other things, it looks fresh and different. Anemone's hold up suprisingly well.

Same with the bouquets- pretty hardy stuff in here-

Baxter I miss you. Please come back from NY. We need our mascot.
